Westward Ho!! 2nd grade wrapped up their Westward Expansion unit with a Pioneer Day. Students enjoyed activities like making bread and butter.

Results from the State Indoor Track Meet! Evan Combs lead the way, placing 3rd overall in the pole vault, almost breaking the school record with a 15'3'' jump (school record is 15'6''). Henry Beisner showed out, placing 10th in the high jump with a jump of 6'0''. Aidan Chapman placed 20th in the 400m with a 53.66 and Kennedy Shaull placed 21st in the high jump with a jump of 4'8''! Way to show out Kaders!

NCOESC Tiffin will be hosting The Kid Whisperer on April 17th. He will be presenting for families and caregivers to provide tips on fostering healthy relationships with children, while finding balance in addressing problem behaviors. The event is free for all, and they would love for as many families to take advantage of the opportunity as possible. Those who register in advance will receive a copy of the book that dives deeper into information shared during the event.

Athletics Update! The Spring OHSAA meeting will take place in the HS gym on Monday March 11, 2024 at 6:00 PM. If you have a child that is participating in a spring sport grades 7-12, you are required to attend. You can plan on paying play-to-participate, bringing physicals, and meeting your coaches. The Old Fort LSD's 2024-25 Open Enrollment is now open. One application is required per student and will be accepted March 1st through March 31st, 2024. Dear Old Fort Families, We are so excited to share with you that every Old Fort student will be receiving a pair of Solar Eclipse glasses prior to the Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8th. These glasses were purchased through a generous donation from the Old Fort Lions Club and Eye Centers of Northwest Ohio. We are very thankful for this donation and offering a wonderful experience for our students. Students will receive the glasses the week prior to the eclipse, so be on the lookout!

Old Fort Local Schools will have a Part-Time (up to 15 hrs/week) PreK Language Facilitator that starts in April 2024 and for the 2024-25 school year. Qualified applicants may submit an application to Brittni Faist at bfaist@oldfortschools.org. https://5il.co/2fqjf

Tonight at Old Fort, we will be hosting Div. II district semi-final basketball. The first game at 6:00 is Port Clinton (5) vs. Toledo Central Catholic (6). The second game is Bellevue (2) vs. Lexington (9). This winners of these games will battle it out Saturday at Old Fort, starting at 6:00 PM. These games tonight are under a split-session ruling. If you are planning on attending, please note that tonight Old Fort passes WILL NOT work at the gates. Similar to last night, district and state passes will be the only ones accepted at the gate. Also please note that there is not a "Old Fort Pass List" for the games tonight.
