Good afternoon,
As you have read in the most recent COVID-update letter from our Superintendent, Mrs. Laura Bryant, Old Fort High School (grades 9-12) will transition to our remote learning plan, starting Monday, November 9th. This means our students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 will use the handout given to them titled 'JH/HS Remote Learning Plan.' They will log on to their teacher's Zoom Room during the specified times. Attendance will be taken each class period, minus study hall. Students with study hall do not need to log on during that period.
Students, if you do not have your materials or need your Chromebook from school, please email Mrs. Cobb. She will set-up a plan with you to pick up your materials from the high school.
Our preschool, elementary, and junior high students will continue with face-to-face instruction, and buses will run as normal.
Thank you,
Please see below for the most recent COVID update and adjustments to our current learning platform for certain grade levels:

Just a reminder that families who need to report positive COVID cases to the district can call either building and speak to the secretary during normal school hours. After hours reporting can be done by calling the school and pressing 0 to leave a message on our COVID reporting line. From that point, someone from the school will follow-up with you about next steps. Early reporting allows us to get a jump start on contact tracing and help ensure the health and safety of all students and staff. We appreciate your cooperation. Thank you!

Any families who are currently attending in-person, but wanting to enroll in the online option for second semester, should contact their building principal by Friday, December 4th to enroll. Thank you.
OFLS will have a remote learning day on Thursday, November 19th for all students in grades PK-12. We are letting you know in advance so you can arrange childcare if necessary. Since we haven't had to go to remote learning yet, this will give us a chance to test our schedules, platforms, and delivery systems to work out the kinks now. We don't anticipate another statewide school shutdown, but individual districts are facing this decision when cases rise locally. In the event we need to temporarily transition to remote learning in the future, we want to be prepared. Again, all students will have a remote learning day from home on November 19th. Further information will be forthcoming.

Old Fort schools will be on a 2-hour delay today Monday October 5th
Just a reminder that beginning October 1st, we will be unable to honor bus passes for the 2020-2021 school year. COVID-19 protocols do not permit us to have unanticipated riders on busses due to limited and assigned seating regulations. Students will be allowed one pick-up and one drop-off location only. The only exception would be an address that is on the same route as a student normally rides. Please make appropriate accommodations, as October 1st is tomorrow. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we will revisit this topic in the future as COVID regulations allow us increased flexibility once again. Thank you.
As part of a recent Director's Order, schools must develop a way for families to report positive COVID cases to the district at any time. Families who need to report positive COVID cases to the school district can call either building and speak to the secretary during normal school hours. After hours reporting can be done by calling the building number and pressing 0 to leave a message. From that point, someone from the school will follow-up with you about next steps. We have seen very little COVID in our district, and we hope this trend continues. Thanks for all of your vigilant efforts to keep our kids and staff safe. Great job, Stockaders!
